Hubert Nanzer is internationally renowned for developing the unique painting style, “EYE-MAX Realism,” which allows viewer to observe nature as though they are literally in the scene. His style is achieved entirely by hand as he depicts mountains in the foreground rather than in the background, illustrating their essence, mystic and power.
Born in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland, Hubert attended the Academy of Design and Art in Lucerne, where he was educated as a graphic designer. Upon graduating, Hubert traveled the world, visiting over 70 countries and experiencing the power of the mountains of South America and of the Laotian Hill Tribes; a power he explores through his paintings, bringing his viewers closer to the experience.
A professional artist for over 30 years, Hubert has participated in exclusive invitational art shows throughout the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Antiqua. Hubert has showcased his work at group and solo exhibitions in exclusive galleries, resorts, private estates, and art museums, including Hyatt Regency Calgary, Banff Spring Hotel, Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, and Vitznau Rigi Art Museum in Switzerland. Hubert is a 15 year participant in the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase and continues to tour with his stunning collections across the world.
