Proudly representing internationally acclaimed masters of fine art.

D. Eleinne Basa

Aclassically trained artist, Basa started painting at the young age of eight when, as Basa recalls, “painting was pure and came from someplace deep within.” Her rigorous, methodical training commenced in the Philippines, where diligence and sharp concentration were essential for mastering each technique.

Basa’s professional career began in the United States in 2004, where she painted full time oil on linen over board, which effectively handles the weight of her palette knife. Each of her colorful narratives are carefully constructed and begin with a personal relationship between the artist and her scene. Her poetic landscapes evoke a sense of tranquility and mystery as she skillfully depicts the essence of light, reflecting the artistic mastery of the early Luminists and Tonalists of the American School.

Basa has participated in prestigious invitational art shows at nationally recognized museums and clubs throughout the United States, from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum (OK), the CM Russell Museum (MT), and the Gilcrease Museum (OK), to the Mountain Oyster Club (AZ), and the California Art Club, where Basa received the Art of the West Award of Excellence at the Gold Medal Show, National Autry Centre (CA). She has also been invited to participate in the reputable American Masters at the Salmagundi, at Salmagundi Club (NY).

Distinguished for her expertise in en plein air painting, Basa received the Award of Excellence (2015) and the Best Body of Work (2017) at the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters National Show at Teton National Park (WY). Basa was further awarded Honorable Mention at the 2015 Door County Plein Air Event (WI), as well as Best Marine (2012) at Plein Air Easton (MD), and Collector’s Choice Award (2011) at the Easels in Frederick Plein Air (MD). Additionally, Basa received both Best of Show (2010) and the Award of Excellence (2017) at the Wayne Plein Air Event (PA). In 2012, Plein Air Magazine, presented Basa with the $15,000 Grand Prize for their Annual Plein Air Salon Competition.

Basa’s outstanding list of honors continues with Best of Show and People’s Choice Award at the 18th Annual Southeast Invitational Show at Germanton Gallery (NC) in 2012. She was also awarded Juror’s Top 50 Award (2008) at the Art Salon International, Greenhouse Gallery (TX) and Finalist (2015, 2017) at the Art Renewal Center Salon (NJ).

Basa’s paintings are on permanent display at the Academy of Arts Museum (MD), the Cherokee Club (GA), and the CM Russell Museum (MT). She is a signature member of both the Rocky Mountain Plein-Air Painters and the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters as well as an Out of State Member of the California Art Club.
