Andrew Kiss

The breathtaking landscapes of Andrew Kiss are highly regarded worldwide, owing to invitational art exhibits that have taken Andrew to Hong Kong, Switzerland, England, Austria, New Zealand, Germany, Africa, and throughout the United States and Canada. Born in Hungary in 1946, Andrew and his family immigrated to Canada when Andrew was 11 years old to escape the Hungarian uprising due to Russian invasion. Although surrounded by tension and uncertainty, Andrew found peace and stillness in nature and through art. In early adulthood, Andrew was employed as a topographical draftsman, however his love of art and innate talent relentlessly drew Andrew to his easel.

Today, as an internationally acclaimed painter, Andrew strives to preserve nature’s beauty with every brush stroke, reminding us to appreciate our precious world. Andrew has received dozens of honors and awards at exclusive juried shows, including five-time “Best of Show” winner and two-time “Collector’s Choice Award” winner at the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase in Calgary, Alberta. Andrew is recognized as a “Master Artist” of BC Wildlife Federation and is a recognized finalist of “Canadian Collectible of the Year.” He won “People’s Choice Award” at both the Art Essential Wildlife Exhibit and the Vancouver International Wildlife Art Show and further won “Best of Show” at Spokane Western Art Show. Andrew is also acclaimed for his popular, beautifully illustrated children’s books, including his official Best-Selling Children’s Book, “Mountain Alphabet.”
